Meet Cara Normandeau
When my husband Brett and I joined Lighthouse Point Yacht Club in 2022, we were excited about the amenities — but what truly made it feel like home were the people. The friendships, the conversations after events, and the pride members take in this club are what make LHPYC so special to me.
Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to become involved in different parts of the club. Serving as Vice Chair of the Tennis Committee, participating in the Cruise Group, and attending social events has allowed me to build meaningful relationships across many circles. Being part of those experiences has deepened my appreciation for the energy and dedication our members bring to this community.
In my professional life, I lead in an environment that requires collaboration and thoughtful communication. That same mindset carries into how I approach the club — with a belief that leadership starts with listening and with creating space for people to feel included and valued.
As we move toward our new clubhouse and an exciting next chapter, what matters most to me is that every member feels comfortable and connected — whether on the court, on the dock, or in the clubhouse. Our club is strongest when we cross paths, support one another, and truly feel like one community.
If elected as Governor, I will focus on listening, supporting the activities that matter most to our members, and strengthening the connections that make LHPYC such a welcoming place.
